Heavy, the President of the Washington DC chapter of the Royal Bastards MC reigns as the King in a dirty city of porn, money and blood.

Heavy saved my life seven years ago and told me to never return. He was my shield, my rock, with dark grey eyes that burned through me. Now I’ve walked right back in to Heavy’s world to see the hatred and rage in his eyes. But he cannot hide the sensual hunger and feral desire to own my heart, dominate my body and possess my soul – a silent promise I’ll belong to him no matter the cost and no one will get in his way.

  CHAPTER 1

  DANIKA

It was the night of my eighteenth birthday, and I was finally free. I climbed out of my bedroom window and ran away, vowing to myself that no matter how bad it ever got, I would never go back to that house. My mom and dad would come home when the sun was just rising to find me gone...again. I’d done it a dozen times before. The horrible and sick memories of what happened in that house would always stay with me. I hoped that those memories would fade over the years and feel they belonged to someone other than me. I was on my way to see Krista Miller, the only friend I had from high school. Her parents were college-educated, white-collar business types that made a whole ton of money. They lived in a big house in a nice neighborhood, across the railroad tracks from the shitty trailer park I lived in. But Krista, like her younger brother, Nathan, didn’t care about living in a nice neighborhood. They entertained themselves by smoking weed, crystal meth, and even snorted coke if they could get it.

I stuffed a thick roll of cash in my jeans pocket. It was five hundred dollars that I saved up working at the consignment shop. It was all the money I had to get away from my parents and that house. I had my burner phone in my jacket pocket and carried a backpack with some clothes, a hairbrush, and a toothbrush. I walked for about a mile south, wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, and my purple chucks I bought from the consignment shop. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail and wore a baseball cap. That way, I looked more like some vagrant or a homeless person walking down Route 1 in the dark. I made it to Krista’s house and climbed into the basement window to find her sniffling and rubbing her nose. I didn’t like seeing Krista do drugs, and I hoped that it was just a phase she was going through to anger her stuck-up parents.

When all the girls talked about boys and dating, I made my education my number one prior
ity. I knew boys wouldn’t help me get a high school diploma—that was all on me. I was such a recluse in school—keeping to myself—and didn’t make friends easily. I was ashamed of myself and kept all the terrible things that were happening to me deep down inside. I hid it well and stayed invisible to everyone in school, dressing in plain and unnoticeable T-shirts and jeans. I bought my own clothes at the consignment shop since my parents spent any money they had on liquor and weed.

Krista squealed, wrapping her arms around my neck before I could drop my backpack on her couch. “Happy birthday, Dani!” She planted a kiss on my cheek.

I hugged her back, squeezing my eyes shut, hoping not to cry. “I’m eighteen and free to do whatever the fuck I want!”

Krista pulled back—her eyes all glassy. “We’re going to celebrate tonight like two bad-ass be-otches! I have a surprise!”

I dropped my pack on her couch, sitting down next to it and groaned. “I don’t like surprises, Krista. You know that.”

“I know, but I couldn’t tell you the surprise until I found out if it was going to really happen.”

  “What is it, Krista!?”

She jutted out her hip, “You remember Tye, right?”

I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. “Yeah, I remember him. He doesn’t have any teeth. Isn’t he like fifty years old?”

She huffed. “No, silly. He’s thirty-one! The Royal Bastards are patching-in a prospect and throwing a crazy-as-fuck party tonight!”

  I arched my brow. “What’s a patching-in?”

“The guys start out as a prospect, and when they get patched-in, they become members and celebrate by throwing a kick-ass party! It’s a big deal with diamond clubs. Tye told me today that you and I are invited!”

I didn’t really know much about motorcycle clubs, only from what Krista told me. Whenever I saw a biker wearing a vest with patches on it, I feared them. And the women that rode with them were just as intimidating.

“Don’t you think that’s a little strange?” I asked, rummaging in my backpack. I pulled out a half-empty bottle of cheap vodka, twisted the cap off, tilted it up, and took a shot. I squeezed my eyes shut and pursed my lips. It tasted like rubbing alcohol.

I handed the bottle to Krista. “I’ve been fucking Tye now for a few months, Dani. He’s got some good weed and some great crystal. We can’t pass this up! It’s not easy to get into one of these parties. I know for sure the Royal Bastards throw a fucking hell of a party compared to those stupid jock parties with the prissy bitches and dumbass football players.” She took a shot of the vodka and puckered her lips at the aftertaste. “Let’s make your eighteenth birthday memorable. This MC party will be one you’ll never forget!”

  ***

I slung my backpack on and followed Krista back out the basement window. We walked down the street together, as I carried the bottle of vodka inside my hoodie jacket. We stood at the corner of Krista’s street about ten houses away from hers when a black Ford van pulled up alongside the curb. Krista grabbed my hand, opened the passenger door, and climbed in first. I jumped in after as she slid across the bench seat next to Tye.

He grinned, and even though it was dark, I could see that he was missing another tooth. He wore jeans and a black T-shirt, but he wasn’t wearing his Royal Bastards vest like he did when I met him the first time. “Hey, you sexy little thang.”

Krista leaned into him. “Hey, Tye.” Then she kissed him.

I felt like puking but took another shot of vodka.

Tye leaned over and looked at me. “Krista tells me it’s your birthday, darlin’?”

I met his eyes. “My name is Danika, not darlin’. And yeah, it’s my birthday.”

I gasped when Tye reached over, grabbing the sleeve of my hoodie. “You better be careful how you talk to me, bitch. You say somethin’ snotty, and you’ll get a fist up your tight ass.” He shoved me back, and my head bumped the passenger window.

“She’s just nervous, Tye! She’s never been to a patch-in party,” Krista said as she hugged him, trying to calm him down.

I straightened up in the passenger seat and took another shot of vodka as Tye stomped on the gas.

Tye parked the van in front of a bar in Washington DC called the Dirty Rooster Saloon. The street lights in the parking lot illuminated two rows of motorcycles parked side by side. I left my backpack and the almost empty bottle of vodka in the van. Since Krista insisted on it, I left the baseball cap too. When we climbed out, Tye wrapped an arm around Krista then squeezed her ass while I followed behind them. I kept my head down but looked over at the parked motorcycles and the two men who stood by them. They had leather vests on, with only one patch on the back along the bottom that read Prospect.

There was a big guy covered in tattoos standing out front of the bar checking IDs. Both Krista and I had fakes, but since we were with Tye, I figured we wouldn’t need them since the big guy just let us walk right in. The mechanical bull in the center of the bar was the first thing that caught my attention as I followed Krista and Tye to the bar. I saw a few men wearing the Royal Bastard vests and women barely dressed in mini-skirts, shorts, fishnets. It was definitely a biker bar with two stripper poles on either end of the long bar. Heavy metal music blared loudly, and the whole place was dimly lit. Clouds of smoke and the scent of cigarettes, cigars, and weed wafted through the air.

Tye walked up to the bar, waving down a girl dressed in a black bikini to serve us drinks. Commotion and whistles came from the other end of the bar. A blonde woman, dressed in a black skin-tight bodysuit, was hauled up onto the bar by one of the bikers. I watched, making sure my jaw didn’t drop as she began to dance around one of the poles. More bikers gathered around and began to holler and whistle when Krista turned around and handed me a bottle of beer.

I tilted the bottle, taking several gulps until it was already half empty. My eyes landed on the man wearing a Royal Bastards vest staring in my direction. It was dark in the bar, but I could tell his arms were covered in tattoos. He was tall, with broad shoulders, dark hair like mine, and a full beard. He looked angry and glared. I looked behind me, hoping he was glaring at someone else and not me. But there was no one there. I felt my face flush, and I swallowed the lump in my throat, feeling a bit intimated when I turned back.

I blinked and suddenly looked down when he began to saunter toward me. Tye wrapped an arm around me then, pulling me up against his side.

The tall, dark-haired man approached and was now glaring at Tye. “This is a private party, Tye. Only club members and sweetbutts allowed,” he barked, his deep voice loud over the metal music.

Tye pulled me closer to his side and chuckled. “It’s cool, Heavy. They’re both sweetbutts. And they’re mine.”

I gritted my teeth and wanted to bust my beer bottle over the top of Tye’s head just then. I shoved him off me. “I’m not your fucking sweetbutt!”

“Didn’t I tell you not to talk shit, you little bitch!” Krista cried out when Tye raised his hand to hit me.

I flinched, but the man called Heavy grabbed Tye’s wrist, blocking him. “Fuck off; she’s not your sweetbutt. She’s mine.”

  CHAPTER 2

  HEAVY

The patch-in party for Wrecker at the Dirty Rooster was just getting started. Wrecker had done his time as a prospect, just like every other member of the Washington DC chapter of the Royal Bastards. Wrecker wasn’t only my new club brother but a true brother from a different mother. We did everything together, from bangin’ pussy to raising hell in our neighborhood since high school.

I’d been a patched-in member of the Royal Bastards for only a year and was next in line someday to hold the gavel as Prez of the DC chapter. Trick was the current prez. He was also my dad and a mean motherfucker too.

Even having the sweetbutt suck me off didn’t help clear the anger brewing inside me lately. Her name started with a T—Tina or Tracy?—and I took her out back behind the building. She took as much of my dick as she could into her mouth
and swallowed. When I was done feeding her my load, I shoved my drained dick back in my jeans and zipped up. I took her hand, pulling her up off her knees. She was pretty, with short blonde spiked-out hair. She was a bit drunk already, her black eyeliner streaked down her cheeks with tears from choking on me.

I gave her cheek a soft smack, then shoved a thumb in between her lips. “You’re such a dirty girl.”

She looked at me and licked my thumb. “I can’t help myself, Heavy. Your giant cock tastes so fucking good.”

I smacked her on the ass and followed her through the back door and back into the Dirty Rooster. I walked up to the bar and ordered a shot of tequila. When I downed it, I slammed the glass on the bar, telling the bartender to pour me another. After the second shot, I looked down at the other end of the bar and saw a cute girl with long dark hair. She was standing behind Tye and some other girl I pegged as the cute girl’s friend. Tye had been a Royal Bastard for several years now and was really close to Trick. He liked to smack girls around. I’d once seen him drag a sweetbutt by her hair across the dirty floor of the clubhouse. He was a club brother, but that didn’t mean I had to like the greasy prick.

I could tell the cute, dark-haired girl wasn’t a sweetbutt right away by the clothes she wore because it wasn’t the usual skimpy shit. She wore a hoodie jacket that looked two sizes too big, which only had me wondering what her tits looked like under it. The girl had that innocent vibe. She was a lamb among the pack of filthy fuckin’ wolves.

My reflexes were quick the moment Tye raised his hand, ready to hit the girl when she barked at him.

“Fuck off, she’s not your sweetbutt. She’s mine,” I growled, gripping his wrist and wanting to rip his throat out.

Tye jerked his arm away. “Go ahead, you can have the little cunt!”

I took the beer from the girl and set it on the bar. She yelped when I grabbed her by the waist and lifted her. She was so little and light. I hauled her easily onto my shoulder, then carried her away.
